It was a 19th-century textile mill and later a large printing works, beneath the 25 de Abril bridge. Since 2008 its halls and yards have filled with design shops, studios, bars and restaurants, the walls covered in street art.
The Ler Devagar bookshop fills an old print hall, with floor-to-ceiling shelves, the original presses and a flying bicycle hanging from the ceiling. On Sundays there is a design and second-hand market.
