There has been a market by London Bridge for at least a thousand years, and on its present site since 1756. It fills Victorian iron halls under the railway viaducts, beside Southwark Cathedral.
It has stalls of British cheese, bakeries, butchers, mushrooms, fruit and coffee, and many selling food to eat standing: raclette, pork rolls, oysters, curries or sweets. It opens most days, but it is far less crowded on weekdays.
