Records show beer was brewed here in 1499, and it is the only brewery in Prague to have done so non-stop for more than five centuries. It serves only its own 13-degree dark lager, Flekovský ležák, brewed on the premises.
It has eight wood-panelled halls with stained glass and painted ceilings, a large garden courtyard for summer and a small beer museum. Accordion players move between the long tables, and the food is Czech: pork knuckle, goulash and sausages.
