Tailor Jakub Pinkas began serving beer from Pilsen's new brewery here in 1843, making it the first tavern in Prague to pour Pilsner Urquell. It is in the New Town, right by the church of Our Lady of the Snows, next to Jungmannovo náměstí.
It has a beer hall on the ground floor, dining rooms upstairs, a vaulted cellar and a terrace by the Franciscan Garden. The beer comes by tank, unpasteurised, and the cooking is classic Czech.
