There has been a market on this street since the 13th century, when the town of St Gall, one of the Old Town's districts, was founded here. It is a row of awninged stalls under the houses' arcades, halfway between Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square.
In the morning there is fruit, vegetables and flowers, and all day souvenirs, wooden toys, puppets, ceramics and honey. It is touristy, but keeps the feel of a street market and opens daily.
