It has traded on the Singel, between Koningsplein and Muntplein, since 1862. The stalls sit on fixed barges in the canal, a reminder of the days when growers sailed in from the fields outside town to sell in the city.
Today it sells mostly tulip, daffodil and hyacinth bulbs, seeds, cut flowers and souvenirs such as wooden tulips and clogs. It is a short, very photogenic stroll, with cheese and souvenir shops on the other side of the street.
