This family bar opened in 1929 opposite the Museu Picasso and keeps its original look: blue tiles, barrels, marble tables and old bottles on the shelves. Its name comes from the «xampanyet», a soft, fruity house cava served in a coupe.
The counter is piled with tinned seafood, anchovies, marinated boquerones, tortilla and cured meats, and you mostly eat standing up, in a lively crowd of locals and visitors.
