Granja M. Viader opened in 1870 in the Xuclà alley in the Raval as a dairy selling milk from the family's own cows. In the 1930s the Viaders created Cacaolat here, the chocolate milk drink still sold all over Spain.
It is still all marble, wood and old display cases, serving thick drinking chocolate, the «suizo» topped with whipped cream, mel i mató (fresh cheese with honey) and biscuits such as melindros.
