It sits on rue des Rosiers, the main street of the Marais's old Jewish quarter, known as the Pletzl, and since the late 1970s it has been the most famous falafel stand in Paris. The queue in the street is part of the scenery.
Its pita comes stuffed with freshly fried falafel, roast aubergine, cabbage, cucumber, hummus and tahini sauce, with harissa if you ask. There is also shawarma and plates with the same base, in a small dining room.
