Saint-Germain

Victor Laloux built the Orsay station for the 1900 World's Fair, and it became a museum in 1986 for French art from 1848 to 1914. Sculpture fills the great vault of the old station, and the top floor holds the Impressionists: Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cézanne and Van Gogh.

Must-sees: Manet's Luncheon on the Grass and Olympia, Renoir's Bal du moulin de la Galette and Van Gogh's Starry Night over the Rhône. Since March 2026 there are works on the forecourt and canopy, planned until summer 2028, but the museum stays open.
