Jardim do Morro

This is a small sloping garden at the top of Vila Nova de Gaia, right where the upper deck of the Luís I bridge ends. Its lawns look straight across at the Ribeira and the cathedral hill.

At sunset it fills with people sitting on the grass, buskers and drinks stalls: it is the informal meeting point for watching the sun go down over Porto. The Gaia cable car also starts here, running down to the cellar quay.
