La Casa del Caffè Tazza d'Oro is on Via degli Orfani, a few steps from the Pantheon square, and has roasted coffee since the mid-1940s. Inside there is a long bar with coffee sacks on show; almost everyone drinks their coffee standing.
It is known for granita di caffè con panna: crushed coffee ice with whipped cream below and on top, served all year though it is a summer classic. It also sells its blend as beans or ground.
