Sant Antoni market opened in 1882 with a great iron structure in the shape of a Greek cross that fills an entire Eixample block. It reopened in 2018 after nine years of works; during the renovation, remains of the medieval wall and a Roman road were found and can be seen in the basement.
On weekdays it is a neighbourhood food market, and on Sunday mornings its perimeter hosts the Dominical, a market of old books, comics, trading cards, coins and postcards with more than a century of tradition.
