The grassy slope of Primrose Hill with the city beyond

Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill

It is a 63-metre hill north of Regent's Park, once Henry VIII's hunting ground and a public park since 1842. The view from the top is protected by law: nothing may be built to block St Paul's, the Shard or the City skyline.

At the summit, a stone is carved with lines by William Blake, who said he conversed with the sun here. Around it, the Primrose Hill neighbourhood has colourful houses, cafés and Regent's Park Road.
