Porto's red rooftops from Miradouro da Vitória, with the Luís I bridge and Gaia behind

Miradouro da Vitória

Vitória

It sits at the top of the Vitória district, Porto's Jewish quarter in the Middle Ages, at the end of narrow streets few people climb. It is a small open terrace beside a block of flats, with no railings or stalls.

From here a carpet of red roofs runs down to the Ribeira, with the cathedral on the left, the Luís I bridge and, opposite, the signs of the Gaia port cellars. It is one of the fullest views of the city and one of the least crowded.
