MuseumsQuartier

Rudolf and Elisabeth Leopold spent fifty years building their collection of Austrian art, which moved in 2001 into this white limestone cube in the MuseumsQuartier. It holds the world's largest Egon Schiele collection, with his portraits and landscapes, alongside Klimt's Death and Life and works by Kokoschka and Richard Gerstl.

It also shows furniture and objects from the Wiener Werkstätte, the design workshop of Vienna 1900. The MuseumsQuartier fills the former imperial stables, bringing together several museums, cafés and open courtyards.
