How to visit Vienna's museums

  1. Klimt and Schiele on different days

The Belvedere and the Leopold are at opposite ends of the centre and each needs a couple of hours. If Vienna 1900 is your thing, don't cram both into one morning.

  2. Coffee under the dome

The Kunsthistorisches Museum's café sits beneath its central dome and is one of the loveliest in town. Stop there halfway through.

  3. One ticket for the Hofburg

A single ticket covers the Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum and the Silver Collection. The library's State Hall is separate.

  4. Buy on the official sites

Several museums sell timed tickets with prices that vary by day. Resale sites usually charge more.
