Brouwerij 't IJ

Oost

The brewery was founded in 1985 in a former bathhouse at the foot of De Gooyer, the city's tallest windmill, which was moved to this spot in 1814. It was one of Amsterdam's first craft breweries, and its logo is an ostrich.

In the bar and on the terrace by the windmill it serves its organic beers, from light blondes to tripels and seasonal brews, with cheese, smoked sausage and ossenworst, Amsterdam's raw beef sausage.
