This pizzeria opened in 1953 on Via Spontini, just off Corso Buenos Aires, and made its name doing essentially one thing: a thick, airy tray-baked pizza loaded with tomato and mozzarella, sold by the slice. It now has branches all over the city, but Via Spontini is the original.
Order at the counter, regular or large, and eat standing or at one of the few tables. It's old-school Milanese fast food, the kind people grab on a work break or after a night out.
