Venetian barman Mirko Stocchetto took over the bar in 1967, and this is where the Negroni sbagliato, the 'mistaken Negroni', was born: as the house tells it, someone poured sparkling wine instead of gin and it went down so well it stayed on the menu. His family still runs it.
It keeps its classic bar look, with a wooden counter and mirrors. Cocktails come in huge cut-glass goblets, and it's a hangout for designers and architects, especially during the Salone del Mobile.
