This neighbourhood café sits on the corner of Noordermarkt and Westerstraat, with wooden tables inside and a terrace facing the church. It serves breakfast in the morning and simple lunches at midday, but almost everyone comes for the same thing.

Its Dutch apple pie, appeltaart, is tall, packed with cinnamon apple in a crisp crust, and served warm with whipped cream. It has become one of the best known in the city.
