How to see the London landmarks

  1. Book the Tower

The Tower of London sells timed tickets on the Historic Royal Palaces website. Arrive at opening and start with the Crown Jewels.

  2. The guard doesn't change daily

At Buckingham Palace the ceremony only runs on certain days depending on the season. Check the official calendar and arrive early for a spot at the railings.

  3. Abbey and St Paul's on weekdays

On Sundays both are open for services only. At St Paul's you can climb the dome: it's more than 500 steps.

  4. See the City on a workday

Leadenhall Market and the City's lanes buzz at weekday lunchtime and go almost silent at weekends.

Checked on November 3, 2026. Opening hours and tickets can change, so check each place’s website before you go.
