Before you go
The three Art Walk museums are a 10-minute walk apart, but each needs at least two or three hours. Do one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
The Prado is free Monday to Saturday 6–8 pm and Sundays 5–7 pm. The Reina Sofía is free 7–9 pm on Mondays and Wednesday to Saturday, and 12:30–2:30 pm on Sundays. Both still require a ticket.
If you are in town on a Tuesday, pick the Prado or the Thyssen that day. Head straight to room 206 if Guernica is all you want to see.
The Sorolla Museum is in Chamberí, about 10 minutes by metro from the Art Walk; it is small and takes about an hour.
Checked on November 3, 2026. Opening hours and tickets can change, so check each place’s website before you go.
