Before you go
Turó de la Rovira opens 9:00–19:30 in summer and 9:00–17:30 in winter, and closes at night. It gets packed at sunset, so arrive early.
Ride the Montjuïc funicular from Paral·lel station, then head up to the castle. Walk down through the gardens to the MNAC steps for a free view towards Plaça d'Espanya.
The light-and-music shows only run on some nights of the week, and the schedule changes with the season. Check barcelona.cat before you go.
Take the Tibidabo funicular to the top. It's the furthest viewpoint from the centre, so give it half an afternoon on a clear day.
