Before you go
The OBA library and the NEMO rooftop are five minutes' walk apart, east of the station. From there, the free ferry takes you across to A'DAM Lookout.
You can go up to the roof without a museum ticket during opening hours. Check its website before a Monday visit, as opening days change with the season.
A'DAM Lookout stays open late, and sunset over the IJ is the best time to go. Bring a card: cash isn't accepted.
Pick up food at the Albert Cuyp Market and walk about twenty minutes to the park; the lawns by the ponds are the quietest.
Checked on November 4, 2026. Opening hours and tickets can change, so check each place’s website before you go.
