How to do tapas in Seville

  1. Timing

Seville eats late: lunch runs from two to four, and dinner starts around nine. Arrive right at opening and you'll find room at the bar.

  2. Bar to bar

The custom is to order a tapa or two and move on. Las Columnas and Casa Plácido are a minute apart in Santa Cruz.

  3. Triana Market

Go in the morning, when the stalls are open. Walk through it on your way into Triana from the bridge, then carry on along Calle Betis by the river.

  4. Coffee break

La Campana is five minutes from the Setas, at the top of Calle Sierpes, which leads down towards the cathedral. An easy stop mid-morning or mid-afternoon.
