Before you go
Take tram 22 to the Pražský hrad stop, then walk down through Malá Strana to Charles Bridge and the Old Town: it's downhill all the way.
First thing in the morning the bridge is nearly empty and the light falls on the Castle. By mid-morning it's hard to move for the crowds.
The Jewish Museum's synagogues and the Old Jewish Cemetery close on Saturdays and Jewish holidays. Plan them for another day.
The funicular reopened in September 2026 with new cars and leaves from the Újezd stop. Regular Prague public transport tickets are valid.
Checked on November 3, 2026. Opening hours and tickets can change, so check each place’s website before you go.
