Before you go

How to see the Prague landmarks

  1. The Castle courtyards are free

You can wander the courtyards and the front of St Vitus without a ticket. The cathedral interior, Old Royal Palace and Golden Lane need the circuit ticket.

  2. The clock, on the hour

The apostles parade every hour from 9am. Arrive a few minutes early to get a spot facing the Old Town Hall tower.

  3. Follow the Royal Route

From the Powder Tower to Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and Malá Strana: the old coronation route links most of these landmarks.

  4. Pair Strahov and Loreto

They're five minutes apart at the top of Hradčany. Combine them with the Castle before heading down into Malá Strana.
